I have received a number of Emails making me aware of the article about EPE possibly removing the two planes which belonged to Elvis from the display at Graceland.  This is very disturbing to me and to just about everyone who loves Elvis.  This comes on the heels of EPE changing the name of the Elvis Insiders to Graceland Insiders.  Evidently the big company which bought EPE and all the rights to Elvis’ name and image are more concerned with taking things in a new direction and making more money than they are with the memory of Elvis and the feelings of the fans.  This is a sad shame.  Below is one of the articles sent to me.  This particular one came from Ron Collamore who I thank so very much for sharing it with me.  There are a number of articles on the Internet about the removal of the planes.

Graceland tells Lisa Marie to get lost

This rather disturbing ‘Associated Press’ report really makes us concerned about the direction EPE is taking Elvis’ legacy and particularly the ‘Graceland’ name of late : For 30 years, tourists from around the world have paid money to get a look at two airplanes once owned by Elvis Presley at Graceland in Memphis. Fans enjoy touring the planes for their direct connection to Elvis Presley and his jet-setting lifestyle, a sort of touchstone to the life of the King of Rock and Roll and his family.

However, by April of next year, the planes named ‘Lisa Marie‘ and ‘Hound Dog II’ could be gone.

Elvis Presley Enterprises, which operates the Graceland tourist attraction, has written to the planes’ owners saying they should prepare to remove the jets from Graceland by next spring.

The planes have been a tourist attraction since the mid-1980s. They had been sold after Presley’s death, and were eventually purchased by OKC Partnership in Memphis.

OKC Partnership and Graceland agreed to bring the two jets to Graceland. The agreement called for OKC Partnership to receive a cut of ticket sales in return for keeping the planes there.

In an April 7 letter to OKC Partnership’s K.G. Coker, Elvis Presley Enterprises CEO Jack Soden says the company is exercising its option to end the agreement and asks Coker ‘to make arrangements for the removal of the airplanes and the restoration of the site on or shortly after April 26, 2015’.

Their removal could cause an uproar among fans, especially those who visit Graceland every year as part of an annual pilgrimage to events such as Elvis Week and the candlelight vigil commemorating Presley’s death.

Dedicated Elvis fan Paul Fivelson of Algonquin, Illinois, says he expects many fans will be upset to hear the planes may be leaving.

‘The people who come to Memphis for Elvis Week like seeing those planes there because it’s just part of the whole aura of what Elvis was about’, Fivelson said Tuesday. “It would be kind of blasphemous to take them away, and I think there are probably a lot of fans who will feel the same way’.

The disclosure also raises questions about the future use of the site where the airplanes now sit, across the street from Presley’s longtime home.

Elvis Presley Enterprises declined immediate comment.

In November, New York-based Authentic Brands Group bought Elvis Presley Enterprises and the licensing and merchandising rights for Presley’s music and image from CORE Media Group. As part of the deal, Joel Weinshanker, founder of the National Entertainment Collectibles Association, acquired the operating rights to Graceland, which attracts about 500,000 visitors each year.

After the sale, Authentic Brands said upgrades to the tourist attraction were planned. Earlier this year, Elvis Presley Enterprises announced plans to build a 450-room hotel, theater and restaurant, with a projected opening date of August 2015. Their plan was approved Tuesday by the Memphis City Council.

Today, Graceland visitors can buy a ticket that includes a tour of Presley’s home-turned-museum and the two airplanes. Fans climb into the airplanes for an up-close look at their interiors.

The larger plane, a Convair 880 named after Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie, is like a customized flying limousine, complete with a large bed, a stereo system, conference room and gold-plated bathroom fixtures. It was renovated after Presley bought it from Delta Air Lines. Presley took his first flight on it in November 1975.

When Presley died on Aug. 16, 1977, Presley’s pilot flew the Lisa Marie to California to pick up Presley’s ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, to bring her back to Memphis.

The smaller jet, a JetStar named the Hound Dog II, was also used by Presley.

At one point, after the planes were sold following the singer’s death, the Lisa Marie was owned by Raymond Zimmerman, owner of the Service Merchandise chain, according to Coker. The Hound Dog II was in the hands of Hustler head Larry Flynt for a time, Coker said.

OKC Partnership eventually bought the planes and the Lisa Marie was installed at Graceland in 1984. The Hound Dog II came later.

Coker, 76, says OKC may sell the planes if they’re removed from Graceland, but he still hopes to negotiate a deal that would keep the planes there. Coker acknowledges that he and his partners would lose money from ticket sales if the planes were removed.

‘I would love to see the airplanes stay where they are forever’, Coker said. ‘Millions of fans have toured those airplanes and there’s a real connection between fans and those airplanes. Those airplanes are part of the Elvis experience’.

Regarding the changes being made by EPE…there is a petition being circulated to stop the change of the name ELVIS INSIDERS to GRACELAND INSIDERS.  I am not a member of the Insiders, however I did sign this petition to stop this change.  I don’t like to see Elvis’ name being removed from ANYTHING done by EPE and their new owner.  Here is the link to the petition which I highly recommend that everyone sign.

Something else for the 4th of July…just food for thought.  Elvis is known the world over as a symbol of America…every bit as recognizable as the Statue of Liberty.  So….once more take a look at the resemblance.

Elvis profile comparison to Statue of LibertyStatue of Liberty to compare to Elvis June 2014

Statue of Liberty totally looks like Elvis

I apologize that I do not know the owner of this nice photo.

The below image is from the Elvisblog page by Phil Arnold.  I have not his permission to share this but I hope he won’t mind as I will include a link to his blog so that my visitors may visit his blog page to see lots of good Elvis stuff.

http://www.elvisblog.net/

Phil Arnold blog July 2012T

Also, take a moment to think of this fact…the word Liberty has some Elvis connections too:  Elvis enjoyed LIBERTYland; Elvis loves football and the LIBERTY bowl is in Memphis; Linda Thompson was Miss LIBERTY Bowl; and last but not least, the suit which Elvis wore for the worldwide satellite ALOHA concert was fashioned to represent America to the entire world.

This from EIN in an article marking the 36th anniversary of Elvis’ “retirement”..

Back in the fifties, to the white teenage audience primed for rock’n’roll outrage by Little Richard’s pompadour and the antics of Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley, Elvis was the liberator, the one who opened up a whole new set of possibilities about the way you could live, the bold new way you could do something as basic as walk down the street with a certain swagger. And in his unashamedly black-inflected vocals Elvis was the true liberation from the white-bread Middle-Of-The-Road schlock that dominated postwar American pop.

As Bob Dylan would later admit, “Hearing Elvis for the first time was like a jailbreak – and I didn’t even know I was in jail”.

http://www.elvisinfonet.com/elvis_forever_2013.html

I have, over the years, seen several articles referring to Elvis as the “LIBERATOR“.

In closing, I will say again, the above is all food for thought.  I personally see a lot of significance in the synchronicity of Elvis , the Statue of Liberty, and Elvis and the recurring word LIBERTY.

I wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July.  Let’s all take some time to think about the amazing country that America has been, is and will hopefully remain so.

Presley DNA.  The ownership of this full report is that of a private individual who has so kindly shared it with me.  This person will NOT display this full document publicly because it does contain other very private information.  I requested permission to show only this brief excerpt.  I realize that there will be many who refuse to believe that this is the result of a specific DNA test between Jesse and Elvis, however, it is the absolute truth.  My heartfelt thanks to the owner who shared it with me.

Today, July 5th, marks a very important date in history.  This is the 60th year anniversary of Elvis’ very first publicly released recording at Sun Studio.  The day that changed musical and cultural history for all of us.  Below is a an article from Variety.  There are many other articles marking this date on the Internet available by doing a search.  Of course, EPE is in the midst of a celebration marking of this date.

How Elvis Invented Rock ‘n’ Roll on July 5, 1954

Elvis Presley invented rock and roll

Editor-in-chief: TV @Variety_Cynthia

Have you heard the news? The explosion of rock ‘n’ roll as a cultural force was ignited 60 years ago this week, on a hot day in Memphis when a truck driver named Elvis Presley was called to a recording session by producer Sam Phillips, the savvy owner of Memphis Recording Studio.

The city of Memphis is marking the milestone with a series of “60 Years of Rock ‘n’ Roll” events this weekend. Sirius XM’s Elvis Radio channel, which broadcasts from the singer’s Graceland estate in Memphis, has an abundance of special programming set to commemorate the moment when the alchemy in the studio was just right to spark a musical revolution.

SEE ALSO: PHOTOS: Elvis Presley and the Birth of Rock ‘n’ Roll

On July 5, 1954, Presley joined guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black at Phillips’ studio in an effort to generate some sides for Phillips’ newly launched Sun Records label. The session resulted, mostly by accident, in the recording of the bluesy “That’s All Right,” among other tunes. The next day they went back to into the studio and recorded a rockabilly-flavored take on the Bill Monroe classic “Blue Moon of Kentucky.”

By week’s end, according to Elvis historian Peter Guralnick, Phillips had the recordings in the hands of a few tastemaker Memphis DJs. Once “That’s All Right” hit the airwaves, Elvis was on his way.

But Presley wasn’t exactly an overnight sensation. He’d first gone to Memphis Recording Studio in the summer of 1953 to cut a do-it-yourself record of the ballad “My Happiness,” a hit for the Ink Spots. (Cost: $3.98 plus tax.) Phillips’ secretary, Marion Keisker, was intrigued by his voice and made a note of his name and phone number.

Around this time, Phillips’ studio had been rented by Chess Records and other established labels to record blues artists such as Howlin’ Wolf, Ike Turner and B.B. King. Phillips was famously prescient in anticipating the convergence of African-American musical styles with country and pop into a phenomenon that didn’t yet have a name.

As Keisker later recalled, according to Guralnick, Phillips often declared: “If I could find a white man who had the Negro sound and the Negro feel, I could make a billion dollars.” This was the 1950s and the South, after all.

Phillips had Presley back in his studio in January 1954 to record a host of songs. But none of them captured the sound Phillips was looking for, according to Guralnick. Presley’s tastes leaned toward pop ballads in the vein of Dean Martin and Billy Eckstine.

At the July 5, 1954, session, Phillips took another shot on Presley, this time pairing him with Moore and Black. The spark of “That’s All Right,” a variation on a tune Presley knew from Mississippi bluesman Arthur Crudup, came during a break when the three thought they were just goofing around. Phillips finally got what he wanted.

By the end of the month, Presley had incited a frenzy at his first professional concert performance in a Memphis park. Sun Records released more than a dozen other Elvis singles (including “Blue Moon,” “I Forgot to Remember to Forget,” “Baby Let’s Play House” and “Good Rockin’ Tonight”) as his regional hits became national sellers.

Elvis would leave Sun for the big leagues of RCA Records by the end of 1955. But Phillips secured his place in musical history, and made a tidy profit even if it wasn’t $1 billion.

Phillips’ vision of Presley as the one who could achieve crossover success by expropriating African-American influences was reinforced by the very first reference to “Elvis Presley” in Variety, which came in the Aug. 24, 1955, weekly edition.

The story wasn’t about Elvis per se (those came just a few weeks later) but about a movement in Houston led by the local branch of the NAACP to clean up the airwaves of sexually suggestive “race music” played on stations that targeted African-American auds.

A sub-committee of the city’s Crime and Juvenile Delinquency Commission, formed at the behest of the NAACP and a professor at Texas Southern University, came up with a list of 26 “objectionable” tunes and threatened stations with FCC complaints if they were played.

“First act of the group was to list 26 waxings mostly by indie labels, that had bothered Negro leaders as degrading or possibly contributory to juvenile delinquency. Most of the 26 were by Negro artists,” Variety reported.

The list of included Ray Charles’ “I Got a Woman,” B.B. King’s “Everyday I Have the Blues,” the Dominoes’ “Sixty-Minute Man,” the Midnighters’ “Annie Had a Baby” and “Work With Me Annie,” Bull Moose Jackson’s “I Want a Bowlegged Woman” and two versions of “Good Rockin’ Tonight”: one by R&B hitmaker Roy Brown (who wrote the infectious “Have you heard the news/there’s good rockin’ tonight” refrain), and one by the singer who would soon be on a first-name basis with the world.

Elvis Presley Enterprises will honor the United States’ birthday this weekend by illuminating Graceland in red, white and blue lighting.

Well known for its annual Christmas display, Graceland will honor America with the Independence Day display, beginning tonight and running throughout the weekend.

In addition to the light display throughout the weekend, EPE is also launching its celebration of the 60th anniversary of rock n’ roll July 5. That date was when Elvis Presley recorded his first single, “That’s All Right,” for Sam Phillips.

The date will be commemorated with a free concert at the Levitt Shell in Overton Park.

Local musicians Joyce Cobb, Andy Childs, Marcus Scott, the Cunning Band and the Lane Chapel Singers will perform songs by Elvis, Booker T. & The MGs, Sam & Dave, Al Green and The Staple Singers. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. It is being put on through a partnership between Graceland, the Levitt Shell, Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau and Sun Studio.

MONDAY, JULY 7, 2014

My friend, Mirna, recently shared this video with me and I enjoyed it all over again.  I have watched it before but do not recall for certain if I have shared it here on my site or not.  But, it is so good and so true, that it certainly bears repeating.

Remembering Elvis

MONDAY, JULY 21, 2014

I want to explain why I have not posted anything since Friday.  I have been in very bad pain because of sciatica and also we have had some technical issues with our computer system.  We bought a new router and the process of getting all of our devices set up on the router did not go well at all and finally had to get the support team of the manufacturer on the phone to help which took a lot of time.

I want to quiet two absurd rumors which have reached me.

(1) I am dead.  This is either a new lie which has started recently or it is a rehash of the same lie which was told about me back in March, 2012.  So, to the rumor mongers who wish me dead, I am sorry to disappoint you.  I have people who are personal friends of mine who Email and/or speak with me almost every day.  So, no my web site not being run by others to keep it going in my name.  What a joke!!

(2) I have heard that there is a group of people who are out to find Jesse and they are purportedly theorizing that Jesse lives near me because I do get our mail to him pretty quick.  Have you people never heard of 2 day priority mail or express overnight mail????  My mail does not go directly to Jesse…it is channeled through a trusted go-between.  So, any insane ideas which anyone may have about scouting around my home in the hopes of tracking me to Elvis/Jesse, should be abandoned.  Should anyone show up at my home, they will be met at the door by my husband with a gun in one hand and the phone in the other to dial 911.

Twice within just a few weeks I have received the following alert from the security system monitoring my website.  This shows that someone has attempted 20 times to login to my web site as “admin” meaning they are trying to log in as someone with administrative authority on this site.  NO ONE has that authority on this site except myself and Mark (my Internet server administrator) and one person on his staff.  The ONLY reason that anyone would attempt this is so that they can make changes on my site. This constitutes illegal hacking attempts.  Below is the notice which I received this time.  I don’t recall if I saved the prior one or not…probably did.  I am presenting the following so that the person(s) who is responsible for either or both of these attempts will know that I DO HAVE YOUR ISP NUMBER  along with the name of your User hostname which means that you can be located.  Things such as this do not go unreported to me.  This is fair warning that I can and will report these hacking attempts to the proper authorities should they continue.

I apologize that I have not been present very much on my site this week.  Just been crazy busy and in pain also.  We purchased a new computer which was delivered and set up on Tuesday evening and the process of getting all of my files, folders, software and data restored onto the new computer is proving to be complicated and a very lengthy process.  So, I am not nearly finished and appears that I won’t be until sometime over the weekend.  I will still find some way to send out a letter and some of the site material to Jesse on Friday though it looks now like it will not be a full print out as is normal.  I hate this but it cannot be helped this time.

I do continue to monitor the Messages to Jesse page very closely and am dealing with some unpleasantness on there in an on-going basis.   I do presently have access to the Internet only so can get to my site and can post on it.  But, my capabilities with material on my computer and possibly the function of my printer are limited right now.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

I saw something of interest for sale on Ebay currently.  For those who have taken a sincere interest in my pages and documentation regarding the ORION records and songs, there is actually a copy of the album THE KILLER, THE KING being offered for sale now.  This album is very rare.  I stumbled upon this album, quite by “accident” back in the 1990’s during a vacation trip.  The synchronicity involved in my coming upon this album was amazing…absolutely a gift from God telling me that I am correct.

This album is a little expensive but considering the real truth behind it, it is a bargain.  This album is one of my most treasured things.  If the world had actually recognized what this album is and represents, it would have been a worldwide smash hit.  As it is, obviously, not many have researched enough to know that this really is Elvis on this album with Jerry Lee Lewis.  Jimmy Ellis was a cover for Elvis after 1977 in order that he could record undercover (once in a while) after he retired in 1977.  As I emphasized many times, not ALL of the Orion songs are ElvisMOST of them really are by Jimmy Ellis

You may see the full album cover, which is in itself intriguing, on my three ORION pages.  Also, you will read some of my research on these pages.  Here are the page links:

https://lindahoodsigmontruth.com/text-page-for-orion-elvis-jesse-connection/

https://lindahoodsigmontruth.com/elvisjesse-and-orion-documentation-images/

Please bear in mind that Jesse DID confirm, to me himself, that some of the Orion songs are really by him.

I AM NOT TELLING ANYONE TO BUY THIS ALBUM.  I am simply arming my visitors with the facts as I know them to be true.  Each person must reach their own conclusion.  When I have time, I plan to record this album and attempt to place it here on my site where everyone may play and listen.  It is a fantastic collection of songs.

I apologize that I have not been posting on the site as much recently.  We have bought a new computer and router which are taking a lot longer and is becoming much more complicated than we anticipated.  This has been on-going since Sunday before last and looks like it will go through much of this week as well.  There have been repeated visits by the owner of the store from which we purchased the computer because several of the drives were not those as listed in the sales information and that has required changing out the drives.  There is still one more of these visits required some day this week.  My keyboard just decided to lay down and die yesterday…so one is ordered and on it’s way.  I am using an old one right now as a substitute and it is very different from the ergonomic to which I have been accustomed for many years and it is slowing me down.  There will be many settings which will have to be changed as well when the dust settles, so I ask for your patience.

I am pedaling as fast as I can.  Ha, ha!!

Below I am sharing a brief excerpt from one of Wanda June Hill’s Emails to me just this morning.  She and I are staying in very close and frequent contact…what a lovely lady she is.  I certainly see why Elvis treasured her friendship so much.  I certainly do too…such a sweet friend.

Wanda said the fact that he loved his fans was obvious but that he would speak of them in such loving ways when not on stage, was not so obvious.

He was so embarrassed when his face was puffy and his whole body bloated by water retention…those last shows…and felt he’d let his fans down because he didn’t look like ELVIS should look.  I told him his fans loved him, fat, thin or ugly and he laughed saying, “Well, now, they might just get all three tonight!”  He came on and he looked exhausted but he did a really good show, minus some of the moves he had done, but no one was disappointed.  I told him things I heard fans saying as they were slowly getting out of the building…and he felt better but he couldn’t believe they would “…forgive me for looking awful, but they do. Bless their hearts.”

Wanda has shared so many things with me and ever once in a while something in particular seems especially important to share on my site.  So, when I ask her permission, she tells me that I have her OK to post anything which I feel will further my work in getting the real Elvis Presley known and understood as opposed to only ELVIS the image.  And so, I do plan to share more quotes from Wanda.  Wanda knows more than anyone else alive on this earth…except Jesse himself…what his personal life was like back then.  He bared his soul to her sometimes and when one learns of  all the adverse situations occurring in his personal life, it is heartbreaking.  I simply do not know how he endured all that he did for so long.  It is no wonder that Jesse said “I felt like I was losing my mind.” meaning in 1977.

Don’t worry, Jesse, I won’t ever reveal anything which could make you feel uncomfortable.  I NEVER do that and I NEVER will.

I have received an Email from Ian Scott informing me that he has abandoned his plans for writing a book about Elvis Presley.  This is the best decision for all concerned.

EDGAR CAYCE’S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY…

Think on This…
Know that whatever experience ye have in the material sojourn Is for a purpose. Know that it is not by chance that ye are in a material or earthly consciousness in the present. For know that all activities of the mind, of the body, must be based upon SPIRITUAL things.

Below is the link to a full article regarding the restoration of a rare BMW car which Elvis owned and drove while he was on his tour of duty in Germany.  I have already printed out the full article to send to Jesse, so I will just include the link below for those who care to view the article.  This saves space on my site.

The following document shows just some of the charities to which Elvis made generous donations.  Of course, this does not even touch upon every cause to which he contributed not to mention all the many, many individuals who he helped so often in private.  He never wanted attention given to his acts of generosity and kindness.  However, I think Jesse will forgive me for blowing his cover after all these years.  Wanda June Hill sent this document to me in order that I might share it here.  My heartfelt thanks, as always, to Wanda.

Elvis Charitable Donations

While we are in this same train of thought, I would like to share a personal history of my own.  Back in 1977 within a fairly short time of Elvis’ “retirement“, a very ignorant individual wrote a letter to the public forum in the Charlotte Observer newspaper.  I was absolutely livid when I read this person’s assertion that Elvis should have used some of his money to do things for other people.   So, I wrote my own letter in defense of Elvis to tell some of the truth about Elvis’ generosity.  My letter was very long and was written while in my “fight mode“.  They did not publish my entire letter, but they did publish a short excerpt from my letter.  Below, is the part which did make it into print in the forum.

Elvis generous by Linda Sigmon

Another contributor whose letter was published the same day as mine helped to make up a little bit for the part of my letter which was edited out.  His letter appears below.  His letter began in one column of print and completed in the next column thus the two sections of his letter below.  I loved that he was able to reference the name of the person who posted the critical letter about Elvis in the first place and was able to say that the letter was “garbage”.
