  1. Dear Jesse, Hope this finds you well and rested, first let me say today is fried pork chop day, back-eye peas, fried okra, turnip greens hot pepper, mash taters and gravy, cold slaw. sweet tea, nana pudding! lock the doors and close the curtains. We got plantin going on around here, put 115 onion sets in the ground, maters acomin on in the greenhouse, Grandma sends her love, and said she’s sittin a plate for you! she’s wants too take her new horse down to Tupelo when she goes to spend some time with her sister, FlapJacks , he’s meaner than a rattlesnake, and kicks twice as hard too! still green as grass though, you know when you said ”what good is having money if it’s sittin in a bank” Well everytime I see the 1956 ”Crushed Grapes Cadillac Eldorado” I think it’s saying the same thing to me ”Drive Me Please” ”Rescue me from this Museum” take me down Highway 51 . So Jess if you get a strong hankering and feel the same way, hollar at me. And the one in film Elvis Found Alive will do as well. I would sell grandma for a ride in that one, you know I’m kidding , without her I wouldn’t know when it is time too get a haircut! I guess were going to backon out of here , got to pick-up some strings for the guitar, and put a PTO grear in the bushhog, and grandma’s asittin the table, later Little Ricky Jesus (hey soos) son wants to go lookin for ”Bigfoot” yes that boy loves that show he has us hollarin and knockin on tree’s, I told , told little ricky if he wants to see bigfoot wait till he see’s grandma without her house shoes! On that note until next time keep a smile on your face , your back to the wind, and get the keys to the Caddy’s. P.S. Grandma forbids you to leave this world, until you do another CD (gospel) ! The woman is not all there Jess! Come See Me We’ll leave the kitchen light on. TCB Sincerely GALEN

Dear Jesse: Isn’t this a wonderful day. I have just returned from my favourite place, the grocery store. Had to get a couple things for supper, since my dear hubby is cooking some walleye that we caught last fall. Before I left for the store, I was listening to you on sirius radio, and left it on, and when I came back home, what a joy it was to hear your sweet voice singing to me. When I left the store, a woman that I don’t know, laden with groceries, asked me if I could give her a ride home. It was my pleasure to help her. You are singing “You gave me a mountain” to me now. Thank you for so many beautiful songs. I don’t think that my hubby minds shareing me with you, since he gave me all of this sirius radio stuff for christmas, and the channel hasn’t moved from the Elvis from Graceland station. Take care and be safe. Barb :snowman: :-))

Dear Jesse, I don’t know you’ll ever see this but I am a Mississippi boy and know all about where you came from. I went to Graceland about 83 or 84 and I just could feel you there so strong I felt it for months afterward. Well I live close to Graceland now and we go on your birthday morning. I was so disappointed that it just felt empty and I could feel your presence. I know a lot of folks that had met you, Doctor Larry Mehr veterinarian, C.B. hamm who worked on your ranch, and sister Barbara a nun that I worked with at youth villages in Bartlett ten. She was so sweet, she said she was the first girl that ever slept next to you wwhen y’all were infants and your mothers were friends. She gave her life to God and helping kids and still does it today. I don’t care what you did but I do care that you are happy now. I ride a Harley like you did and have horses and I know you must really miss those things. I know you couldn’t enjoy just going fishing or camping in the old days and I understand. Watching the sunset sometimes is just a magical thing and I hope you finally get to do it. How good it would have been just to sit around in lawn chairs with you, have a fire and tell tall tales. I would have like to have known Elvis the man and not just a man who was famous and a great musician. He is gone and I hope you know longer have been in a practical prison from fame. We all love you, your buddy, mike. Mike Davis,1397 Kelly’s crossing, cold water Ms. 38618

Oh how long it has been since I was able to get time to post a message to you Jesse. On the way home from Bible study tonight I reminded myself that no matter how late it got I would make it to the computer and post. We have been studying the 2nd Coming of Christ. So much to wrap our brains around and yet so simple -- despite all the theology, just be ready! On my end the 4 homeschoolers are keeping me hopping, as well as an unending daily to do list. Can’t decide if my son is a bigger Elvis or Tebow fan. If he could shake a leg while on the knee I think he would be pleased as pudding. There was recently an Elvis tribute artist at the Center of the Arts theater in our town ( I guess for your b-day). The whole family thought about going -- but then . . . well it was enough for us to just be at home playing your music and I think the kids watched a couple of your movies. They knd of felt like they were celebrating with you. I am surprised they didn’t ask me to bake a cake so they could eat it (shhh -- they might get the idea for your next b-day). They are bound and determined to go to Graceland for the next HomeSchool Day at Graceland. Besides their daily lessons in Social Studies, Science, Spelling, Reading, Math, Language and Bible we are beginning soccer season, and an intensive Civil War study for a field trip at the end of Feb. I have asked them to figure out what else they would like to do near Graceland so we can perhaps schedule a vacation around it. Last time I left a trip like this up to them we studied Daniel Boone’s life, the life of his family members, watched every episode of Daniel Boone, then an intensive study to separate history and facts from Hollywood and traveled all around his stomping grounds in Kentucky, Caught the Battle of Boonesboro re-enactment, a couple of other batter grounds and memorials, an Apple festival, a fish hatchery, Andersonville, Jimmy Carter’s Homestead, Sunday School taught by Jimmy Carter, (the Sunday School lesson was just ok -- but getting checked in by the secret service was definitely cool) an Amish produce and flower auction, A Wonderful Children’s Home in Kentucky, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mtn, picked some cotton in GA, an Amish Dairy farm . . . so I cannot wait to see what they come up with for the Graceland Trip. If I remember correctly last year it was in Sept or Oct so they will have an appropriate time to plan and study, and still get all of their regular subjects in. My son said it will be incredibly awesome just to look at Graceland and know that is where you were happiest -- with your family. The girls aren’t sure yet what they expect to be the best part. The oldest did mention she hopes to see something that lets her know that you are ok with Christ. Sweet child -- always concerned about the eternity of others. With that my friend, I am off to call it a night. May God Bless and Keep you -- and a special blessing to your voice -- Linda.

  5. Dear Jesse,
I have been on holiday in Asia with my daughter. My profile picture was taken at Singapore Changi Airport. We went to Hongkong, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines. It was a lovely trip around SouthEast Asia.

Have a lovely blessed day to you and everyone who are closed to you.

Hello Jesse, Okay “Let’s Pretend” You’re restless tonight; you just can hardly go to sleep; you’ve got this date tomorrow night making your first appearance on National TV on the Dorsey Brothers Stage Show. Then at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 30th, (1956), you have your first sessions at RCA Recording Studio on 24th Street to record, “Blue Suede Shoes” along with seven, (7), other song picks. Here’s a jump into the future at YOU TUBE. ENJOY EVERYONE! This is Elvis singing on his very first national debut on the Dorsey Brothers Show. (He generated a cool $5,000.xx for the three appearances on the Dorsey Stage Shows.) Smiles, Bets :)

Dearest Jesse, I’m going to have to change my profile picture so you won’t become too bored seeing that little coat of blue feathers on my page; it is that lovely singing Tennessee Bluebird but this is how I think of you; you’re from memphis, Tennessee as is this beautiful bluebird…a well known feathered friend throughout Tennessee! :) Also, because your song is “Blue Suede Shoes,” moreover, you are like him with that awsome voice so pleasing to hear with the heart and ears. I would never grow weary of it….never my love and I say “my love” for everyone here at Linda’s web site. I consider this your place too. You are really here among us and I thank you for it! You are loved as the beautiful little bluebird!! Smiles and hugs, Bets :)

  13. Dear Jesse.
I hope you enjoy it goes well. We have read in quite some time nothing more from you. You remind me of a good friend of us. He was chief physician here in town, in the hospital. He no longer works. He is 74 years old. Every few weeks or months, he suddenly calls in to my Mom and want to know how we are doing. Or he is suddenly at my mom’s front door. We are always happy about his calls / visits.
I met him as a child to know. My father worked with him in the operating room. Often he came to us with his girlfriend for dinner. Or we visited them. Sometimes we even went on holiday together. It was a wonderful time.

    Greetings from Melli

    My Dearest Jesse,
I hope you are doing well today.
I want to tell you about a play I went to see. It was called “Blue Suede Shoes”; the story of your life. Chris McPharge wrote it and also played the part of Colonel Tom Parker. He sat on one side of the stage and told your story. ETA Roy LeBlanc played the part of Elvis. He has won the Las Vegas world championship in 2003, and in Collingwood in 1999 and 2001. His side profile looked so much like you. Beautiful blue eyes like yours; even his nose was almost identical. Of course , he does not have the vocal range that you have, but did fairly well in the lower ranges. I don’t know how politically correct the play was; only you would know that. It covered your whole career. We got to see and hear you talking on the phone with your mom, and the fight you had with the Colonel over your love for Gospel music. He talked about places that wouldn’t let you move from the hips down or you would end up in jail. We laughed, and cried, and cheered. It was like having a history lesson. When he sang “You won’t ever walk alone”, he brought the house down, forcing him to sing the song again. He sure made the women scream. Since I have never seen you perform live, I pretended it was you; that made it a lot more fun. He changed his clothes so many times I lost count; but finished off with that famous white jumpsuit with all the rhinestones. I don’t know how you feel about ETA’s, but hope it doesn’t upset you. No one can ever replace you Jesse. Roy stood by the door so people could talk to him and have their picture taken. I was too shy; maybe next time. If the play ever comes your way, maybe you’ll want to check it out.
Sorry to ramble so much Jesse.
Sending you love and prayers. Take care.
    Love you always ,JP.
