Hello Lozzafun , Sorry I’m late in replying to your post .. I love your idea of asking folka if they’ve had an angel encounter .. I do believe in angels and I feel we all have a guarding angels that follows use throught this life, I’m not sure if what happen to me in my childhood was an angel encounter or not .. So let me tell you what happenand and we’ll see if others think the angels saved me from harm or possibly death that day many years ago …

This happen when I was about four and a half years old and I only have faint memories of what happen due to my young age at that time .. I remember it was a cold winter day and my brothers and sisters were at school . My Dad was off at work and it was just Mama and I at home . Like most folks we didn’t have indoor plumbing only had a well to get our water from and a outhouse for our bathroom ..Now most folks build a wooden frame around their well with a small wheel with a rope through and a bucket attached to it to get the water out .. Since we had only moved there in the spring of that year Dad had not gotten around to building a frame around ours it just had boards laying across it .Well it seem someone or probably one of my sibling had drawn water that mornig and didn’t replace the boards coveing it .They were probably late getting to school ..

Now let me tell you what happen to me that makes me think the angels took care of this childs life back that day long ago .. We had two dogs their names were Blue and Jake they followed me everywhere I went I loved them dearly and they loved me .. I remember telling Mama I’m going out to play . She said ok ,but don’t stay out long it’s awful cold today .. Mama also said take those dogs with you . After playing for a short time with the dogs and whatever a four and half year old would play at… As I look around I see the well isn’t covered and start to walk over to it . I’m thinking to myself I’d like to look into it and see the water. I’m not very far away from it when I become a little frighten and I get down on my hands a knees and crawl closer to it . Just as I get to the edge of the opening Blue and Jake start barking at me .I laugh and tell them to be quite ..

I’m now laying on my stomach with my head over the edge of the well looking at the water I can see my faces reflection in the water . Next thing I know is Jake and Blue have grabbed the bottom of my dress and are pulling me away from the well .. It just so happem my Mama came out of the house at that very monment asking what are those dogs barking about ?..She see’s the well is uncovered and sees Jake and Blue dragging me across the yard .. She’s starts crying and saying , Oh lordly child Jake and blue and the blessed angels done saved your life ..Mama’s still crying and thanking God and our dogs she believed and I do to that God and our dogs saved my life that day .. For I could have easly fallen in and drown ..My Mama sure believed in angels , for a long time she told folks how the angels and our dogs saved me from sure death ..

I truly believe angels are around us and are here to help us get throught the many challening things in our lives .God said I will never leave you ,he also said I leave you a helpmate , the Holy Spirit .. We know the bible tells us of many angelic visits with man and the definition for angel is Messenger or attendant of God . So they are God helpers and message givers ..
